Day 28

I am thankful for easy dinner nights! Apparently my body has decided that now is the time to get sick. :-(
I've got the works... Fever, nose, eyes, throat, ears, aches... Gross!
So last night for dinner we had: soup (from a can!) Mac n cheese & mozzarella bites(frozen in a bag) it was nice to just relax after eating. Those nights don't happen very often.... But I love them!

Day 27

I am thankful for my husband! I waited all month to list him, because I wanted to wait for today, out 8th wedding anniversary! I love u forever and a day babe!
(On our wedding day & then on our 8th anniversary!)

Day 26

I am thankful for medicine & the practice of it. My mom wasn't feeling very good lately & thanks to medical testing was able to rule out anything horrible & figure out she has some sciatica issues. Thank God it was nothing too serious!

Day 25

Today I am thankful for my parents! Today is their 29th wedding anniversary! I have always been grateful for them, but knowing that even through the absolute hardest of times they managed to stay married; I commend them on it!

Today I am thankful for family. Sometimes we find ourselves not remembering what is important in life & I was reminded today that our extended family is important to us, & to keep a close relationship with them for us & our family.

Today I'm thankful for mommy/daughter days! She & I spent the while day just shopping & hanging out! Love those kind of days!

Today I am thankful for food & shopping! Delicious meals all day & then good deals in shopping for the evening & night!

Day 21

Today I am thankful for "easy" work days. I may eat those words here in a little bit, since I don't get off til 7am.. But we didn't run any calls all day, & truthfully I was ok with it for once. Normally, I'm soooo excited to go, go, go.. But for some reason today, I was so exhausted & just didn't feel good, so laying around napping & watching movies peacefully for a full day was exactly what I needed. :-)

Day 20

Today I am thankful for my kitchen & the fabulous appliances I have, especially my stand mixer!
Since I have to work at NSCAD tomorrow, that means I don't get off work til 7am thanksgiving morning. So I had to cook/bake everything tonight. 3 cheesecakes, pumpkin muffins, double layer pumpkin bread with cream cheese frosting filling, cheese corn, & green bean casserole..... Phew! It took me 5 hours straight to do! I'm exhausted!!

Day 19

Today I am thankful for the beautiful sunsets & sunrises we've had lately. Having to get up before the sunrise stinks, but being able to watch God

Day 18

Today I am thankful for my health. Outside of having hypothyroidism , I am a pretty healthy person. I am thankful for that considering some people are ALWAYS sick.

Day 17

(Yesterday...) I am thankful that we have an amazing option for child care in my cousin. Allison is always available to come play with Aubs if we need a date night or just to go do anything. She is the first "non-immediate" family member to keep Aubrey & the first person we ever paid. Ha! It just so nice to know that when u need a night away, someone else is there to take care of, protect & even just play with your most precious thing in life. Thanks for being there Allison! :-)

Day 16

Today I am thankful for my king size bed! Lol! As I type this up, my family of "5" are all in my bed. Nick & I of course, then there is Aubrey sprawled out between us..( she's our "divider" lol!) I have Hurley at my feet/ in between my legs & I'm sharing a pillow with Ry (the cat) as she continuously purrs in my ear.. 😝
So as much as I love our "togetherness"... Ha! I love that our bed is big enough that I can still somehow manage to get some sleep on my allotted 8in wide by 4.5 feet long space. 😉

Day 15

Today I am thankful for my phone! I know that seems trivial to some, but my phone is my camera to get those adorable pics of Aubs, its my planner, my way of keeping in touch with other through my busy life, & a way for me to be on call through texting for work. That's how I get on call pay (which is amazing!!). So, as cliche as it sounds, I am truly thankful that I can have my phone! ;-)

Well... I'm keeping it short. I'm thankful for my cat! She's so loving (to me!) she hates everyone else.. But she adores me. & she's my little cuddle buddy when my child abandons me for Nick! Lol!

Today I am thankful for baby snuggles! I know she's not so much of a baby anymore.. But she's always my baby!

I told Aubs this morning that I had a horrible headache & just needed to lay down for awhile. She was so sweet! She just curled up with me & patted my head for hours! She finally kissed my forehead & asked for subway for lunch! Of course I obliged for such good behavior! Love Those precious moments!!!! ❤❤❤❤

Day 12

Today I am thankful for my crazy dog! He is such a sweet boy & a blessing in our family. Hurley is wonderful with Aubrey. She's such a 3 year old towards him, lol! She "loves" him to death.... & he just takes it. We are training him for canine search & rescue, & can't wait to get started helping with all the rescue missions! :-)

Today I am thankful for my FaceTime on my phone! I'm working a 24 hour shift & I'm missing my Lil lady... So of course, we FaceTime chat as much as we can to make it easier! God bless technology! :-)

Today I am thankful for the beautiful weather we have been having! It's rare, but we've been having 70° days lately! It's been so wonderful to play outside!

I missed it yesterday....

I'm greatful for good friends! One of my longest friends came into town last night, & even though my head hurts a little today, ;-), we had so much fun! Thanks Lori for always making things interesting!

Today I am thankful for my TiVo! Lol!
I got called into work & then had to work on homework, so I missed my Grey's Anatomy. :-(
So here I am laying in my bed, about to flip on the TiVo, since Lil miss is sound asleep finally, & enjoy the heck outta some Grey's! :-)

Day 7

Today I am thankful for sleep!
I went on a transfer for work last night & took a pt to StL late. I didn't get back until around 4am, & had to be at the school for work at 6..so I got about 45 min of sleep. So when I came home around 8, I went back to sleep & woke up in time to go back for afternoon route. And now... I'm ready to pass out hard!

Day 6

Today I am thankful for Election Day! It's so wonderful to live in a country where my opinion matters. Being a Caucasian female, might keep me from having a voice in a different country, but in the USA I am blessed to have the right and even the responsibility to vote! I have to admit, being a student, with a young child, and part of a working family that us by no means "well off" I am slightly nervous about the possible outcome. But all I can do is pray that things work out! I did my duty, & voted! Did u?

Day 5

Today I am thankful for our troops. I am blessed to live in a country that has such freedom, but also saddened that men & women still have to fight everyday for those freedoms! I just got finished saying goodbye (again) to me dear friend PJ who is in the military & stationed in Texas. He was home on leave for a few days & I'm so glad I got to see him again. I have so many family and friends that serve, I can't begin to name them all, but I want them to know I am eternally greatful for what they do. So today & everyday I am thankful for our service men & women!

Today I am thankful for coffee! Lol!
It was daylight savings time today & although I was supposed to get an extra hour of sleep,,,, I didn't. So my liquid gold coffee addiction sure has helped to get me through the extra hour today! :-)

Day 3

Today I am thankful for my EMS job.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do! Knowing that I have the skills and knowledge to save someone's life & actually being able to do that is such an amazing feeling. I am working this moment, & even though I just got back to the station after running on my 5th call in 4 hours & am soooooo exhausted; I'm ready for those tones to go off again & be right back out there!
I love my NSCAD family & appreciate them for all they do!

Day 2 - words!

Seriously blogger?!?! I've tried to post this with pictures 3 times!! Grrr...



So I'm an hour late...
But today (& EVERYDAY!!) I am thank for my beautiful daughter. On Oct. 26, 2008 I found out I was pregnant, & couldn't be more excited. On Feb. 11 2009, I was informed I would have a daughter! My heart filled more than I could ever imagine. Or so I thought.. June 17, 2009 Aubrey Nicole Hobeck made her long awaited debut!! My life was complete!! I could not ask for a more amazing, intelligent, beautiful, caring & perfect child! God blessed me with her, and for every second of everyday, I am grateful!

Today I am thankful for the fact that I have the opportunity to further my education. I know lots of people that would love to go back to school, but can't for whatever reason. So as I gripe & complain about about these term papers I have wrote this weekend, I will remember to be thankful for my education.
