Day 30

Thankful for the many blessings in my life! A clean house to come home to (thanks babe! 😉), dinner ready, hanging Christmas Ornaments, & having the laundry done! Sometimes the little blessing are the best!

Day 29

Thankful for cuddles with my baby girl! I can't get enough of laying around with her on lazy mornings watching cartoons & snuggling! She's getting too big too fast!

Day 28

I am thankful for easy dinner nights! Apparently my body has decided that now is the time to get sick. :-(
I've got the works... Fever, nose, eyes, throat, ears, aches... Gross!
So last night for dinner we had: soup (from a can!) Mac n cheese & mozzarella bites(frozen in a bag) it was nice to just relax after eating. Those nights don't happen very often.... But I love them!

(On our wedding day & then on our 8th anniversary!)

Day 26

I am thankful for medicine & the practice of it. My mom wasn't feeling very good lately & thanks to medical testing was able to rule out anything horrible & figure out she has some sciatica issues. Thank God it was nothing too serious!

Day 25

Today I am thankful for my parents! Today is their 29th wedding anniversary! I have always been grateful for them, but knowing that even through the absolute hardest of times they managed to stay married; I commend them on it!
Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!
Love u!

Day 24

Today I am thankful for family. Sometimes we find ourselves not remembering what is important in life & I was reminded today that our extended family is important to us, & to keep a close relationship with them for us & our family.

Day 23

Today I'm thankful for mommy/daughter days! She & I spent the while day just shopping & hanging out! Love those kind of days!

Day 21

Today I am thankful for "easy" work days. I may eat those words here in a little bit, since I don't get off til 7am.. But we didn't run any calls all day, & truthfully I was ok with it for once. Normally, I'm soooo excited to go, go, go.. But for some reason today, I was so exhausted & just didn't feel good, so laying around napping & watching movies peacefully for a full day was exactly what I needed. :-)

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

Day 20

Today I am thankful for my kitchen & the fabulous appliances I have, especially my stand mixer!
Since I have to work at NSCAD tomorrow, that means I don't get off work til 7am thanksgiving morning. So I had to cook/bake everything tonight. 3 cheesecakes, pumpkin muffins, double layer pumpkin bread with cream cheese frosting filling, cheese corn, & green bean casserole..... Phew! It took me 5 hours straight to do! I'm exhausted!!

Monday, November 19, 2012

Day 19

Today I am thankful for the beautiful sunsets & sunrises we've had lately. Having to get up before the sunrise stinks, but being able to watch God
Create such a beautiful pictures in the sky is amazing!

Day 18

Today I am thankful for my health. Outside of having hypothyroidism , I am a pretty healthy person. I am thankful for that considering some people are ALWAYS sick.

Sunday, November 18, 2012

Day 17

(Yesterday...) I am thankful that we have an amazing option for child care in my cousin. Allison is always available to come play with Aubs if we need a date night or just to go do anything. She is the first "non-immediate" family member to keep Aubrey & the first person we ever paid. Ha! It just so nice to know that when u need a night away, someone else is there to take care of, protect & even just play with your most precious thing in life. Thanks for being there Allison! :-)

Saturday, November 17, 2012

Day 16

Today I am thankful for my king size bed! Lol! As I type this up, my family of "5" are all in my bed. Nick & I of course, then there is Aubrey sprawled out between us..( she's our "divider" lol!) I have Hurley at my feet/ in between my legs & I'm sharing a pillow with Ry (the cat) as she continuously purrs in my ear.. 😝
So as much as I love our "togetherness"... Ha! I love that our bed is big enough that I can still somehow manage to get some sleep on my allotted 8in wide by 4.5 feet long space. 😉

Thursday, November 15, 2012

Day 15

Today I am thankful for my phone! I know that seems trivial to some, but my phone is my camera to get those adorable pics of Aubs, its my planner, my way of keeping in touch with other through my busy life, & a way for me to be on call through texting for work. That's how I get on call pay (which is amazing!!). So, as cliche as it sounds, I am truly thankful that I can have my phone! ;-)

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Day 13

Apparently day 13 never posted.. :-/

Well... I'm keeping it short. I'm thankful for my cat! She's so loving (to me!) she hates everyone else.. But she adores me. & she's my little cuddle buddy when my child abandons me for Nick! Lol!
Love u Ry-Ry!! :-)

Day 14

Today I am thankful for baby snuggles! I know she's not so much of a baby anymore.. But she's always my baby!
:-)
I told Aubs this morning that I had a horrible headache & just needed to lay down for awhile. She was so sweet! She just curled up with me & patted my head for hours! She finally kissed my forehead & asked for subway for lunch! Of course I obliged for such good behavior! Love Those precious moments!!!! ❤❤❤❤

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Day 12

Today I am thankful for my crazy dog! He is such a sweet boy & a blessing in our family. Hurley is wonderful with Aubrey. She's such a 3 year old towards him, lol! She "loves" him to death.... & he just takes it. We are training him for canine search & rescue, & can't wait to get started helping with all the rescue missions! :-)
Love you Hurley Man!

Sunday, November 11, 2012

Day 11

Today I am thankful for my FaceTime on my phone! I'm working a 24 hour shift & I'm missing my Lil lady... So of course, we FaceTime chat as much as we can to make it easier! God bless technology! :-)

Day 10

Today I am thankful for the beautiful weather we have been having! It's rare, but we've been having 70° days lately! It's been so wonderful to play outside!

Day 9

I missed it yesterday....

I'm greatful for good friends! One of my longest friends came into town last night, & even though my head hurts a little today, ;-), we had so much fun! Thanks Lori for always making things interesting!

Thursday, November 8, 2012

Day 8

Today I am thankful for my TiVo! Lol!
I got called into work & then had to work on homework, so I missed my Grey's Anatomy. :-(
So here I am laying in my bed, about to flip on the TiVo, since Lil miss is sound asleep finally, & enjoy the heck outta some Grey's! :-)

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

Day 7

Today I am thankful for sleep!
I went on a transfer for work last night & took a pt to StL late. I didn't get back until around 4am, & had to be at the school for work at 6..so I got about 45 min of sleep. So when I came home around 8, I went back to sleep & woke up in time to go back for afternoon route. And now... I'm ready to pass out hard!
Goodnight!

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

Day 6

Today I am thankful for Election Day! It's so wonderful to live in a country where my opinion matters. Being a Caucasian female, might keep me from having a voice in a different country, but in the USA I am blessed to have the right and even the responsibility to vote! I have to admit, being a student, with a young child, and part of a working family that us by no means "well off" I am slightly nervous about the possible outcome. But all I can do is pray that things work out! I did my duty, & voted! Did u?

Monday, November 5, 2012

Day 5

Today I am thankful for our troops. I am blessed to live in a country that has such freedom, but also saddened that men & women still have to fight everyday for those freedoms! I just got finished saying goodbye (again) to me dear friend PJ who is in the military & stationed in Texas. He was home on leave for a few days & I'm so glad I got to see him again. I have so many family and friends that serve, I can't begin to name them all, but I want them to know I am eternally greatful for what they do. So today & everyday I am thankful for our service men & women!

Sunday, November 4, 2012

Day 4

Today I am thankful for coffee! Lol!
It was daylight savings time today & although I was supposed to get an extra hour of sleep,,,, I didn't. So my liquid gold coffee addiction sure has helped to get me through the extra hour today! :-)

Saturday, November 3, 2012

Day 3

Today I am thankful for my EMS job.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do! Knowing that I have the skills and knowledge to save someone's life & actually being able to do that is such an amazing feeling. I am working this moment, & even though I just got back to the station after running on my 5th call in 4 hours & am soooooo exhausted; I'm ready for those tones to go off again & be right back out there!
I love my NSCAD family & appreciate them for all they do!

Day 2 - words!

Seriously blogger?!?! I've tried to post this with pictures 3 times!! Grrr...

So I'm an hour late...
But today (& EVERYDAY!!) I am thank for my beautiful daughter. On Oct. 26, 2008 I found out I was pregnant, & couldn't be more excited. On Feb. 11 2009, I was informed I would have a daughter! My heart filled more than I could ever imagine. Or so I thought.. June 17, 2009 Aubrey Nicole Hobeck made her long awaited debut!! My life was complete!! I could not ask for a more amazing, intelligent, beautiful, caring & perfect child! God blessed me with her, and for every second of everyday, I am grateful!

30 days of thankfulness -Day 1

These are obviously going to be in no specific order- so here goes!

November 1, 2012

Today I am thankful for the fact that I have the opportunity to further my education. I know lots of people that would love to go back to school, but can't for whatever reason. So as I gripe & complain about about these term papers I have wrote this weekend, I will remember to be thankful for my education.

Sometimes the fight ends sad & too soon...

I love this picture yet it makes me so sad to see it now.
I lost my beloved aunt to cancer this past week. Aunt Ronnie always has been & always will be one of my favorite aunts and actually favorite people in general.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer which spend into her lungs even after a mastectomy and thinking they had gotten it all. I watched her suffer for the past several months & I now know she his resting peacefully in Heaven. I was with her in her final moments along with my Grandma & my dad. She was loved by so many & will be missed by everyone that knew her.
Losing her to cancer has just opened me even more to fighting for awareness of all cancers but especially breast cancer. I don't want anyone else or their families to go through what we all have gone through. It's unimaginable to watch someone you love so much suffer. I told her this saying when we were realizing that she was terminal & I truly believe that's why she hung around fighting for so long. I told her she was the strongest person & if anyone could kick cancers butt, she could. My heart is broken & there will forever be a hole for her. I miss her so much already & its only been a few days.
I love you to the moon & back Aunt Ronnie, & I'm so glad you are no longer hurting. I know you're going to be my guardian angel now, because from day one you've always had my back & nothing, not even death, can change that. Rest in Peace.

No compassion at all...

Without going into detail because I don't feel like loosing my job & license for breech of HIPPA, but I had a rough night at work the other day. Long story short, I was supposed to take a NICU
Team to one hospital to pick up a sick baby, & transport back to a more advanced facility. We never were able to transport the baby, because he passed away after all of us working to revive him for hours. There was nothing we could do, it was inevitable, but still a devastating experience. All along I assumed it would only take a few hours because it was a close transfer. Well, after it was all over it was more like 6 hours. The delay caused me to miss taking a midterm in one of my online classes that was only "available" for a bread timeframe. I explained to my professor the situation without detail, & requested that due to the situation, he please let me make up the exam. I received his email this morning to which he replied,

"Sara,

That sounds like a horrible situation that you were pulled into at the last minute, and I do understand that things happen at the last minute sometimes, and that is why I set the entire class up at the beginning of the semester instead of adding it week by week. I'm afraid I can't accommodate your request."

Seriously?!?!?!? WTF?!?!?

The exam was available for one day! Not all semester.
I try to help save a babies life & he can't have a little understanding! I'm so irate! I don't feel this is in anyway my fault. Without this midterm I'll be lucky to get a B, in what should be one of the easiest classes in college. I'm calling BULLSHIT!
And to make matters worse, I feel like a shithole for being upset about midterm when a family is grieving the loss of their baby! I completely realize that there was nothing we could do, & that it was Gods decision to take that baby to heaven, but it doesn't make any of it easier.
I'm so sick of stupid school & their ridiculous bullshit politics. All I ever wanted to do was to go to school and get my degree so I could help people.
Here I am working 2 jobs, going to school, & balancing a family, & this assface can't give me an hour to take an online exam. Someone please tell me that I'm not being irrational?!?

Moving!... Again....

My life is a crazy mess! Seriously.. If I ever get a second to actually sit and breathe, I will write a legit post catching up on everything...
Anyway.. For now.. We are moving. Again.
It's a long story.. & an issue not our fault, but we out moving from our current home. We've loved this house, & are very sad to leave it, but its happening. Our lease would be up in December anyway, so it's just as well, while we found something we love! Our new house is much bigger, & we are gaining a bathroom & main level laundry!!(that's a big deal to most mamas!), Aubs & I are also gaining some HUGE walk-in closets!( that's an even bigger deal to most girls, especially girls like me with an unGodly amount of shoes! 😉) overall I'm very excited about the house, but also a little nervous... It's at the very tip top peak of the budget I figured out for housing. Scary, but just means to be more conservative on other things. (Like for instance, went on vaca this past week.. Found the cutest Coach bag on a ridiculous clearance price... Passed it up. VERY hard for me, but budget first, designer bag later!)
Anyway, lots of packing and sorting going on at our house, but not to slow down on anything else... 2 jobs, school, or life! New house pics to come!

Party Anxiety! :-/

We've been going non-stop all day today (Friday) to prep for Aubrey's
B-day party. Her actual birthday is Sunday the 17th, but we wanted it to be not "mashed" with Father's Day.
I always plan waaaay too much stuff to get finished in one day, but my OCD tendencies seem to take over and once again we are up at 2am still planning. Ha! I will give myself a little leeway this year though, because this is the first year we are having the party at our house. This makes me a nervous wreck! :-/ I know it's not true, but I always feel I am judged by my house. My decor, cleanliness, organization & worst of all how it will look when 50 people pass through on my white carpet! Haha! I love out families and know they just want to spend time with Aubrey, but Mommy may have a morning cocktail to calm down! Lol!
On the upside to this, as of now my house hasn't been cleaner since the day we moved in & it's more organized than ever! ;-)
I'll let ya know if I make it through tomorrow!

Go Cards!!

Project

My project for the next day or so! I'm so excited!!!

Aubrey Update

Aubrey had her follow-up appt today with her pediatrician, Dr. Olson.he said everything looks look and to just continue giving her Tylenol PRN for the pain.
I told him I was a little more concerned because she has been overly sleepy today (slept 13 hours last night, & within an hour was complaining of being sleepy) not to mention all she did all morning was lay around in my bed. No tv or other activity. Just laid there. Not that I mind the snuggles, but we usually watch a movie or something together. He said she is still recovering from the concussion and that extra sleep is pretty normal. We just need to continue to watch for vomiting or other strange things.
Next appointments:
3 year well baby next Thursday
Follow-up with Neurosurgery & ENT next Friday.

Living Nightmare

*Warning post overload*
This is going to be a very long & detailed story.

Start Sunday afternoon, Aubrey and I were going to Walmart to grab a few groceries before I had to be at softball and volleyball practice that evening. In normal fashion, Aubrey said she wanted to walk, not be put in the cart. So I started to let her just walk along the cart, but did I mention this is SEMisouri & Walmart on a Sunday afternoon. (I'm tellin you, the crazies flock there on the weekend, because they think there is nothing better to do than hang out at the grocery store.) Anyway, I made a Mommy call, I decided to not let someone run her over, and I put her in the seat, and strapped her in. She was not happy, so to ease the situation, I offered to go get a free cookie in the bakery. I grabbed a few items on the way back to the bakery. We got back there, and I asked if she could have a cookie, they grabbed for her cookie. As I turned around to tell her to tell them thank you, I saw her standing in the "child seat" of the shopping cart. I'm not sure if the latch just wasn't completely attached of if she just undid it, wouldn't be the first time. As I reached for her she attempted to sit down but lost her balance. In a half a second, she fell. Straight back. I reached for her and barely grazed her leg. There was nothing I could do, and before I knew it she hit the floor. Flat on her back & the back of her head. She's so little & fell with such force that she actually kind of bounced and hit again. I guess I must have screamed, because people started to flock over. She never lost conciousness, but let out blood curtling screams. Without even thinking, I grabbed her, picked her up and tried to comfort her. Now I know, with all my medical training, I know better. You NEVER NEVER NEVER move a perosn with a possible spinal injury, but that never even flickered in my head. (Just to ease my guilt of grabbing her, every doctor and nurse we came in contact with, said that would've done the same thing. Mommy panic mode overrides any and all medical training no matter how extensive.)  I yelled to the lady, we needed to go to the hospital, and she said she would get a manager (WTH?!?!), he came over and I said again, we needed to go to the hospital. He was obviously not going to call 911, so I grabbed the bag of ice he brought me, and ran. I tried to calm her, but nothing was helping. I strapped her in her carseat, and drove like hell to get to the ER. I normally agree with people kind of blocking crazy drivers when they are being morons trying to pass, but I had turned my hazard lights on and was driving calm, just faster. I got stuck behind some older lady, the man driving on the other side of me "blocked me" from passing him or her. I started honking and flashing my lights and he flipped me off. (WTH?!?!) So I just backed off for a sec, then when he backed off, I took advantage of my V8 engine, and passed. LOL!. I didn't care about anything at that time, except making sure my baby was okay. I arrived at Southeast (where her records are, which is why I went there. Plus, my medical director from EMS is an ER physician there, who is Board Certified in Peds & I was hoping she was there.) They immediately put a C-collar on her and strapped her to a pediatric backboard. She was not at all happy with this, so of course she was screaming for me which caused me to have a meltdown right there. They rushed her back to a room, and the Doctor came right in determined we needed X-rays and a possible CT. She said she wasn't sure if a CT was necessary, but wanted to x-ray first. They try to avoid doing CT's as much as possible because there have been new studies that show the chance of some forms of cancer go from 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 100 after the radiation of a CT. I was not happy about the idea of a CT at all, but if it was absolutely necessary we would comply. The x-rays showed a possible cervical issue, so the doc was highly considering the CT, but then the worst thing ever happened. Aubrey closed her eyes. Nothing we could do would arouse her. The doc and several nurses came running in. They said this was not good. They tried yelling, tickeling, painful stimuli. NOTHING worked. She was still breathing & her heart rate was fine, but she was completely unresponsive. The next 30 min are pretty much a blur, but I remember all of us, running down the hall pushing her bed to CT. The doctor was afraid she had a brain bleed and the swelling was getting to bad. I knew the in the CT room, so he let me see her scans. THANK GOD, there was no bleeding. I could tell there was a significant amount of swelling and could see the large hematoma on the back of her skull. I rushed back downstairs with them. The doc came in and confirmed what I had seen, no bleeding, but swelling. She also said that she was having a radiologist look and the scans. She came back in a few minutes later and said that there was a significant skull fracture on the occipital bone that was very concerning, so she was having a neurosurgeon and Barne's Children's in St. Louis look at them. She came in, just as Aubrey was "waking up" from what they could only determine as a comatose state, because of the swelling. It was like a safety mechanism her body did, to allow the swelling to go down without damaging the brain. Dr. Weber said she just didn't feel comfortable treating her down here, so they would like to transfer her to Children's for the neurosurgeon to better eval her. My heart sunk, but I also appreciated her concern for my baby girl. They decided they wanted to Airlift her there, but then found out the winds were to strong for safe flying conditions, so by ambulance it was. They called CCPA to come do the transfer. I was happy it was them, because I know almost all of them from doing clinicals there, and trust them. I know there policy is to not let family ride along, due to the fact that if something goes wrong, I'm just a distraught mom getting in the way, so we followed very close directly behind them. Aubrey did amazing, I'm sooooo proud of her. She could see through the back window and see our car, she kept waving at us. I gave her my cell phone to watch Netflix on so she would be more comfortable. (I owe Shae & Chris at CCPA and big thank you for helping calm my mommy nerves!)
Once we arrived at Children's they had us stop in the ER for another eval by the ER supervisor, who's husband happend to be Aubrey's neurosurgeon. He was wonderful also, but did advise us that she had a 2nd skull fracture that went along the mastoid bone, but also crossed onto the temporal bone. It was just above the ear so he was concerned and wanted her to see a pediatric Otolarynologist (ENT) while we were there. They admitted her to the neuro floor and we got to our room around 2am. Of course another set of nurses and doc's had to come see her before she could go to sleep. She also needed to eat, because it had been since about 2pm that she had ate. (We were getting dinner at the store when this all happened.) So after she ate, and we finally got to lay down, it was about 3am. She instantly fell asleep, but I was so wired from all the adrenaline, it took me a min. I was suddenly awoken at 3:30,  (so about 15 min after I fell asleep!) to the sight of what seemed to be a 12 y/o who introduced himself as Doctor. I was so out of it, I almost laughed out loud. He was the on-call ENT resident. (*Disclaimer* I realize that everyone has to learn & that I will be in his shoes, not too long from now, but this guy was RIDICULOUS!!) I'm not sure who ever thought it was ok to ask an almost 3 y/o, after suffering a head injury, not eating for 12 hours, and not sleeping at all, to comply with a full ENT exam at 3:30 in the morning was a good idea, but apparently he did. After I sleepily re-told the story again to him, he stated he needed to check her out. He proceeded to look in her ears (her least favorite thing), which is what woke her up, then her eyes and nose. Finally he wanted to look in her mouth. Bad idea. He wasn't the most gentle doc either. Obviously Peds is not his calling. He stuck the tounge depressor she fall back, while already being upset, it gagged her. She threw up, all over him. LOL! Well deserved! The nurse we had (LOVE HER!!) came in and politely kicked him out. haha! She apologized over and over about him even coming in. So back to sleep we went, for now. They were back to check her vital around 4. Then 2 more ENT residents came in at 6. Vitals at 6:30. Neuro at 7:30. Vitals at 8. Then the wake up for her appt in the ENT clinic at 8:30. Not to mention we had to share a room with a 6 weeks old baby who was having seizures and whose monitors went off every 10 min or so, alerting the nursing staff to rush in and turn on all the lights. Total added up amount of sleep: about 2 hours..maybe... They had to clean the excess wax out of her ears to verify that there was no damage to the eardrum itself and that no fluids were leaking out. They did see a small bruise and some speckled blood on the drum itself, but it was fully intact and no damage, so they cleared her. We headed back upstairs and ordered food. The neuro team came back in for one more exam and said that she was acting in the best manner possible and they were very impressed with her energy. She was allowed to go down to the Child Life playroom for awhile and when we returned to her room they informed us she was cleared by neuro and going to be discharged. We only have to be very cautious about her "bumping" her head of having any abnormal headaches, nausea, of vomitting. Other than that, she is perfectly safe to run around like a normal pre-schooler. Although, I have been treating her like a newborn that needs to be wrapped in bubble wrap.
I am so thankful that God was watching out for my little girl and the fractures and concusion are all she sustained. I am so grateful to the doctors, nurses and medical staff from Southeast Hospital, Cape County Private Ambulance and of course Barnes-Jewish Children's Hospital. We are blessed that such wonderful people took such good care of our baby. We have several follow-up appointment in the near future, and will not be playing hard for the next 3 months (that's how long it will take to fully heal) but we will try to go on with life as normal and enjoy our summer.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers while we were literally living in a nightmare.

Vaca Post..... FAIL!

I don't know why I ever attempt to "promise" to post, I know I won't...LOL!
Anyway, vaca was fun & fast. We had a good time catching up with family and got to play at 6 flags in Arlington for 2 days. Rode some wicked roller coaters and had a blast with A in the water park. Aubrey did get sick in the car one VERY HOORIFIC time, so that made for an interesting pitstop of cleahing.. :-/ but over all we had a great time. :-)

So we took it back to Enterprise, & they double upgraded us to a 2012 Malibu. :-) its a very nice car for gas mileage.. As in 32mpg!! Yahoo!!!
We stopped in West Memphis to eat some dinner & then headed toward little Rock! Thank Goodness for in car DVD players & headphones... Now we listen to satellite radio & A watches Shrek! Perfection! Lol!

Eyes wide open!

I have come to the realization that I need to enjoy my life & stop stressing on the things I can not change. It's time to stop killing myself for that perfect 4.0, & appreciate these precious years with my baby girl. My life is not perfect, & neither is anyone in it, but it's mine. :-)

Lazy Saturday's?!? Ha! Yeah right!

Lazy Saturday's are not something we get to enjoy in our house right now.. We just moved into our new last weekend (another post on that to come..) and have been soooo crazy with work, school and unpacking/organizing the house we haven't had time to breathe even. Not mention throw A into the mix. Ha! A 2 1/2 y/o transitioning is not the most fun thing to do. :-/
Anyway.. We spent the day cleaning and unpacking more boxes. Then went back to the old house to get another load (or 2) and bring them back too. After a quick pit stop for dinner at BG's (the thought of cooking made me gag. Ha!) & by my sisters..( I hadn't seen sweet Addi in FOREVER!) we headed to Sams to pick up something's then home to do homework. Blah, yuck!
Now we are about to watch Grey's & Private Practice on abc.com (thank God for full episodes online!) since the TiVo hadn't been hooked up on Thursday, then sleep time! I am taking advantage of being able to sleep in tomorrow. If I don't I won't make it through the week.. :-/

70 in January?? I'll take it!

Today was BEAUTIFUL!!! I was able to wear a t-shirt with flip flops & drove with my sunroof open all day. It was amazing!! I was sad though a little... Aubrey wasn't feeling well this morning & we hadn't slept much last night, so when I got home from my morning shift, we laid back down to grab a few more z's.. But we slept til noon! Ha! By the time we got up and dressed & had a quick lunch, it was time for me to drop A off at maw maw's house and go to my afternoon shift. When I got off, it was getting dark. :-(
We just hung out after I took a quick walk with my friend to catch up. We grabbed some quick dinner at Culvers and a movie and headed home. A was cranky so now everyone is crashes out and I'm still up. Ha!
Hope this weekend is just as beautiful as today!

A lazy/sick day at home

I started feeling crummy on NYE, & it's progressively gotten worse.
I've got the typical stuffy, sinus gunk, chills, achey.. Etc. yuck!
So with only today and tomorrow left of no work, we decided to just chill out at home for the day. It was wonderful (minus the sickness!)..
We slept ALL morning then laid around and watch tv/movies all day. I made some tummy breakfast bowls for lunch.. Then more movies. Cuddling with A was exactly what I needed to help me feel better. She must not feel very good either, because she was especially cuddly & even feel asleep on my chest!! (LOVE!!!!) so we all took a nap! :-)
I had to run to te store, b/c we were completely out of ALL liquids in the house. Picked up a pizza from Sam's, & headed straight home. I have been craving cheesecake & since I'm afraid that my throat will join the sickness soon, I wanted to make/eat some now. Made one real quick and headed back to bed. :-) it should be ready in another hour, so when it's done... A quick bite (or 5....) and then sleep! Tomorrow is my last day to sleep in... :-( better enjoy it!!

I'm Back!

After realizing that my mobile blogging had somehow been disabled since August and nothing I had composed had posted :( I decided to just basically start a new year fresh with  "new blog". I really feel that our lives have become overwhelmingly busy, and we have NO time for memories, which completely breaks my heart. I am going to make a concious effort to take the time to at least jot down (via mobile blogging) something everyday week so that we can start to remember things precious times. Also, if I upload to Facebook, I'm going to upload to here (so if we are FB friends..you get a double dose of pics! :-)
Anyway, I am excited to start a New Year out as a "new me". (another post to come)
